Why wasn’t Kyle Canyon road project complete before monsoon season?

Las Vegas, NV — It’s back to square 1 for Public Operates crews on Rainbow Canyon Boulevard.

The subdivision in Kyle Canyon had element of its main road washed out again.

Friday, the road would have been paved and carried out. But Monday’s storm destroyed a chunk of it, just like a storm did last year.

Some residents want to know why the road wasn’t finished just before monsoon season.

Public Performs told Action News they couldn’t start operating on the road till June, when the temperature on the mountain was warm enough.

They stated they wanted to finish the road just before the rainy season but weren’t capable to, after the storms got in the way.

There is no word on when that project will be comprehensive.
