Unsolved murder has loved ones painfully waiting for closure
North Las Vegas, NV — An unsolved murder has a family members painfully waiting for closure.
It’s been 4 years considering that Darren Rael was shot and killed and no a single knows who pulled the trigger.
The 44-year-old father of two was gunned down outside a home on Iverson Lane, near Gowan Road and Clayton Street, in North Las Vegas.
His household gathered there Wednesday evening on the anniversary of his death.
Rael was a mechanic and handyman. He discovered the auto repair job on Craigslist.
Police said the homeowner who hired Rael to repair his auto was outside with Rael when a stranger approached and asked them for income. When they stated they had none, the stranger pulled out a gun and shot Rael.
The gunman also attempted to shoot the homeowner, but the weapon somehow malfunctioned and the stranger took off.
North Las Vegas police said they have no new leads in this case, but are nonetheless actively investigating.
Rael’s family refuses to give up their hope that his killer will be brought to justice.
