Nevada thinking about California-style porn condom regulation

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Adult film production migrated from California to Nevada soon after Los Angeles County voters authorized a law requiring condom use on set.

Now, the regulation could adhere to.

Nevada state well being officials said Friday they’re thinking about brothel-style regulations for the booming adult film business.

That follows word that two male performers tested constructive for HIV after a video shoot last year in Nevada.

The thought that porn stars may have to wear protection in productions in Nevada generated a buzz at this week’s Adult Video News Expo in Las Vegas.

Totally free Speech Coalition chief Diane Duke says the regulation isn’t necessary.

She points to each and every-two-weeks testing for porn specialists and a database displaying pass-fail final results.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation executive Michael Weinstein notes that brothel regulations would make Nevada stricter than Los Angeles.
