Las Vegas, NV — On Tuesday night, Action News spoke to a neighbor of the woman who jumped from the I-15 overpass earlier in the evening.
Saul Gomez said at least two children live in the woman’s home, along with at least one other adult male and possibly two other adult females. He believes the children are between 9 and 11 years-old.
“My son played on Saturday and Sunday with their children,” said Gomez.
Just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a call of a domestic dispute on the 5200 block of Carol Circle. The caller said there was some type of disturbance. Family said a woman drove off and may have been suicidal.
Shortly after that call, police received another call from witnesses who said a woman got out of her vehicle, which matched the description from the earlier call, and jumped from the overpass on northbound I-15 at the U.S. 95 north ramp.
Witnesses said she crashed into the side barrier and jumped over the side, falling up to 100 feet and landing on the 95 northbound. She was pronounced dead at UMC.
