Las Vegas, NV — Kenneth Rankin appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom on Friday.
He is the suspect in a crash involving nine vehicles that resulted in the death of a local mother.
Rankin appeared before a judge for his preliminary hearing. However, it was postponed after prosecutors asked the judge for more time.
The 32-year-old man is facing three counts of reckless driving, failure to stop for a police officer resulting in death and five counts of drug possession.
56-year-old Ellen Gallucci and her dog, Scruffy, was killed in the crash on Feb. 8 at the intersection of Cheyenne Avenue and Jones Boulevard.
