Kid and Nic’s new CD, opera home hosts Phatt Kattz and Cirque du Soleil on Monday
Shows, special performances, fundraisers, classes for gardeners and advance possibilities abound as Pahrump swings into spring.
The Pahrump Nugget StageBar Lounge characteristics a run of musical groups supplying entertainment on weekends. This week, normal guests The Kid and Nic Show will be on stage beginning at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday to place on an interactive show and celebrate the release of their new CD “Where You Are, There You Is.”
Kirk “Kid” and Nicole “Nic” Tracy lead a 5-piece band that celebrates “Classic American Music.” The show is enjoyable, higher-energy, interactive and characteristics a blend of swingin’ blues, rock and roll, and a range of other genres.
The Kid and Nic Show has been featured on The Discovery Channel, The Meals Network’s “Bobby Flay’s Food Nation,” as well as morning news shows in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nevada and Arizona.
Songs from Kid and Nic’s final release are enjoying standard rotation on radio stations across the nation and around the planet.
The Amargosa Opera House will host Lynn Petersen and the Phatt Kattz at 7 p.m., April six on the opera house stage.
The show, named “Snapshots of Music,” is a trip by way of time from the 1920s through right now.
Through costume and music, the show will cover the evolution of jazz in the roaring 20s, romance and songs of longing via the war-torn 40s, the illusion of innocence that prevailed in the 50s and the turmoil of the 60s. Tickets are $ 20.
April 8, the Amargosa Opera Home will have a unique performance from Jorge and Benedikt from Cirque du Soleil. The pantomime show starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is by donation. All proceeds from both shows advantage the opera house.
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners has started its “Grow Your Own” classes on Wednesday evenings.
The second class will be from six p.m. to eight p.m., April 10, at the UNCE offices, 1651 E. Calvada Blvd.
The next class will address Insects and Other Garden Pests. The cost of each and every class is $ 10 and seating is limited.
The class schedule contains “Efficient Irrigations for the Home Vegetable Garden,” “Gardening in Nevada’s Soils: A Hero’s Journey,” “Nutrients and Fertilizers,” “Edible Herbs and Flowers,” “Berries and Brambles,” and “Selecting Fruit Tree Varieties.”

UNCE is also expecting the spring tree delivery on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. If you have ordered trees, be certain to choose them up.
Pahrump Open Schooling Shows has a horse show scheduled for Saturday starting at 9 a.m. The show workplace will open at 8 a.m.
This is the second show of the season at McCullough Arena and classes contain dressage, mini horse, halter, Western and English.

Quilts 4 Cancer will hold a fund and fabric fundraiser from 10 a.m. to two p.m., April 6, at Saitta-Trudeau.
The fundraiser is primarily based on a points method and set up as a competitors between Nye County Sheriff’s Office and Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services.
It must be enjoyable and all donations are appreciated. Each and every yard of 100 percent cotton fabric or $ 5 money counts as a single point for the team.
Heath’s Laff Factory will host another comedy show at 8:15 p.m., April 13 on the patio of the restaurant.
Featured comedians are Ryan Budds and Jeb Caldwell.
Seating is restricted and tickets are $ 19, which involves your initial drink.
The Laff Factory is on Frontage Road across from the Albertson’s purchasing center. The developing is vibrant orange and challenging to miss.
