Family waiting for justice 1 year later

Las Vegas, NV — Friends and family are planning to mark the one year anniversary of a valley man’s death with a memorial Tuesday.

Kadar Brown was hit and killed while changing a tire along 95 near Summerlin Parkway.

A memorial is planned at Mr. D’s on Rainbow and Oakey.

Brown’s mother is still waiting for the driver who hit him to go to trial.

Gary Adair, Jr. is facing DUI charges in connection with the crash, but the trial was pushed back to August.

“I want to get this over with, and it really just irritates me,” Brown’s mother Lin Thompson said.

The memorial is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mr. D’s on Rainbow and Oakey.
