Family members opens up about valley bicyclist killed in crash

Las Vegas, NV — On Sunday evening, the family of 62-year-old William McCarley released photos of him, along with a statement.

It reads, “We really hope this will bring awareness to drivers and bicyclists [about] how essential helmets and safety [are] as it is so hazardous out on these streets. Bill was loved by numerous folks and was always willing to open his residence to anyone in require. He was an incredible person. He worked for Union 720 as a stagehand for [much more than] 35 years. He loved his four kids and numerous, a lot of grandkids so considerably.”

McCarley was killed on Sunday morning following his bicycle collided with a auto. It happened on Lamb, close to Charleston. Police say they believe McCarley was at fault. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet.
