Bail set for woman accused in vicious dog attack

Las Vegas, NV — The woman accused in a vicious dog attack last week appeared before a judge on Wednesday.

Jesse Vonstaden’s bail has been set at $ 40,000.

A report detailing the vicious attack by mixed breed pit bulls that left an older woman in critical condition was released on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the report, police officers could see the blood-covered victim lying in her yard, barely moving, when they arrived on scene.

Based on the facts that Vonstaden had been warned about the dogs by animal control, Vonstaden was arrested for disregarding the safety of a person resulting in death or substantial bodily harm. She faces felony charges in connection with the attack.

A judge placed her under house arrest. She is not allowed to have any dogs.

A preliminary hearing has been set for March 11.
